Cell Phone Signal Boosters - How they work

The use of a Cell Phone Booster, also known as amplifiers and repeaters, can significantly increase your current cell phone signal strength and decrease your lost or dropped calls, whether you are home, work or on the go in a car, RV or boat.

The bi-directional booster, coupled with the necessary antenna, can be likened to a mini-cell tower in the room or vehicle where the system is installed.

An external Antenna captures the weak signal from the closest cell tower and sends it to the amplifier which boosts the signal. From the amplifier it sends the strengthened signal to an internal antenna, if wireless operation or multiple users are required, or a cradle or plate designed to be used on a single phone or datacard. This process is reversed when sending the signal back to the cell tower.
